We, the Good Shepherd Sisters, are deeply grateful to each one of you and the family and relatives of Sr. Mary Natividad Banaag present here at this Good Shepherd Chapel to join us in this Mass of the Resurrection. In time we will inurn her cremains at the Good Shepherd Columbarium as a testimony of Sr. Naty’s passage from physical death to everlasting life, life in abundance in God’s bosom.
Thank you for sharing the pain and grief of losing a co-sister, a mother, a confidant, a counsellor, a companion in mission, a spiritual guide, a community leader, and our former Provincial Leader during the tumultuous and dangerous Martial Law years.
For allowing Sr. Naty to be part of your lives, making her 61 years as an RGS to be lived out in zeal and compassion the Good Shepherd Sisters are ever grateful.
· First we would like to acknowledge the delegation of faculty and staff of St. Bridget College, Batangas City, Alumni, benefactors and former personnel of St. Bridget College, the first foundation of the RGS in the Philippines. Sr. Naty spent many years of RGS apostolic fruitfulness in this foundation.
· With us here also are some of the girls, women and men from the different communities and areas Sr. Naty worked during her lifetime.
· Sr. Naty’s pain and discomfort during the years of her illness would have been unbearable if not for the love and caring of the caregivers and doctors. Salamat sa inyo Michelle, Jocelyn at sa inyong lahat sa Maria Droste Infirmary.
· For the family and loved ones of Sr. Naty whom she loved much, thank you for generously sharing the person of your loved one to be a gift to our Congregation particularly the Philippine Province of the Good Shepherd, to the Church and the people who have been entrusted to her reconciling and compassionate caring. Thank you from the depths of our hearts.
· To the staff and personnel of the different Good Shepherd Communities here at 1043 Aurora Boulevard thank you for pitching in at every task needed to be done during the wake of Sr. Naty, even before and always. Salamat palagi sa inyong kabutihang loob.
· To every benefactor, friend, lay affiliate of the Good Shepherd present now, before and always, our words of thanks would not be sufficient to describe the depth of our gratitude but we believe that our compassionate God is never outdone in generosity.
· Last but not the least we thank our dear Fr. Catalino Arevalo, SJ for celebrating this Mass of the Resurrection for our revered Sr. Naty Banaag. For lending us your gracious presence at nodal events in our Province, thank you always Father. This expression of gratitude goes to Fr. Anselm of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary.
