Two temporary professed sisters from Myanmar (Province of East Asia) renewed their vows at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Quezon City on October 7, 2011.
Srs. Aung Sian (Lucy) and Nant Mar Mar Swe (Flora) are currently in the Philippines for Theological Studies at the Institute of Formation and Religious Studies (IFRS).

They renewed their vows before Sr. Patricia Perez, apostolic councillor of the Philippine Province and representative of Sr. Cecilia Torres, province leader. Fr. James O’Donnell SJ was the presider during the Eucharistic Celebration, held on the first Friday of the month and the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
There are at present, nine temporary professed sisters in the Philippines: Sr. M. Cielo Matuloy, Philippines; Sr. Kristiana Prasetyo of Indonesia who joined the contemplatives in the Philippines; Sr. Jane Kendi Mutuambia, Sr. Pauline Njura Mugaithia and Sr. Lydia Kagendo Mutwiri of Kenya, Sr. Rosabel Perez of Peru, Sr. Angelina Ibrahim of Sudan, Sr. Flora and Sr. Lucy of Myanmar.
Sr. Kelly Ng of Singapore/Malaysia who enrolled at the IFRS for the first semester had to go home recently to take care of her sick mother.
Sr. Teresita Figueroa RGS, the Directress of the Temporary Professed Sisters in the Philippines, accompanies the sisters from other units in their formation.
In recent months, two other sisters renewed their vows in the Philippines, Sr. Rosabel on July 30, 2011 renewed hers in Quezon City and Sr. Angelina on October 2 in Welcome House, Paco, Manila. Both are in the Philippines as part of their internationality experience.
The internationality experience and the theological studies of temporary professed sisters as part of the formation program are aimed at preparing them for the mission of the Good Shepherd Sisters.
