Novena Prayer for Sr. Tonette
To you, O Lord, we humbly commend Sr. Tonette. In her mortal life, You loved her dearly. Now that You have called her to a new life, we pray that You fulfill Your promise of everlasting life for those who believe in You. Let Sr. Tonette dwell in Your house of many mansions, dear Lord, where there is no pain or grief, just peace, serenity and joy.
O God, You have
so loved the world that You gave Your only Son to open the Gates of Heaven. We
beg You to welcome our beloved Sr. Tonette, who in this life was a witness to
Your word. She lived a life of deep faith and selfless service, giving the best
of herself to those around her. Grant that she live on in each of us, not only
in our memories but in reality, through faith and love of Your Son, Jesus
Christ.
Thank You, dear
Lord, for what she was to us all, for the privilege of knowing and loving her and
learning from her during the years she was with us. Though we miss her and need
her, we accept your pattern of infinity and trust in Your divine will
completely. May we who are left behind always remember that we are certain to
follow. Grant us the wisdom to live meaningful lives. Draw us closer to You
everyday. Help us to realize that it is only through death that we can achieve
eternal life and be united with those who have gone ahead of us and come face
to face with You, dear Lord, in the life without end. Amen.
