Sr. Mary Assumpta receives recognition for 30 years of service at T.I.P. campus ministry<br>

Sr. Mary Assumpta Lim RGS  was given recognition by Dr. Elizabeth
Quirino-Lahoz, president of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.)
for her 30 years of service in campus ministry.

The plaque of recognition was given during the Eucharistic
Celebration presided by Bishop Honesto Ongtioco of the Diocese of Cubao, on
December 1, 2014 at the T.I.P. Anniversary Hall. It was a thanksgiving Mass
participated in by students, faculty, administration and several Good Shepherd
Sisters.

Dr. Lahoz, in her speech said:

As
campus minister, Sr. Mary sought out to students to listen to their stories.
She would sit down with students whom she chanced upon sitting in the chapel or
hold one-on-one talks with troubled students who seek her counsel. At the start
of the semester, she would ask for a few minutes to talk to the CWTS students
and invite them to visit the chapel.

T.I.P.
will surely miss Sr. Mary's gestures of thoughtfulness when she fishes out of
her bags of candies and crackers given to her by some friends and relatives and
shares them with some members of the community.

 The blessing of
the new Administration Building, and the prayer room at the ground floor,
followed.
