April 24 is the feast of Sr. Mary Euphrasia, foundress of the Religious of the Good Shepherd. It was on April 24, 1868 that Mother Foundress died in Angers, France at the age of 71 (1796 July 31- 1868 April 24.
One hundred forty five years after her death, and entrance to heaven, St. Mary Euphrasia continues to touch the lives of women and children through Good Shepherd Sisters and mission partners in 75 countries in the world.
In the Philippines, April 24 is celebrated with the first profession of vows of Sr. Mary Clara Lina Loilo of Sorsogon. Held at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Quezon City, the ceremonies gathered Good Shepherd Sisters, apostolic and contemplative and mission partners, friends and members of the family of Sr. Clara.

The day before the feast of St. Mary Euphrasia, Sr. Ana Cielo Matuloy, who just arrved this April from her apostolic experience in Hongkong, renewed her commitment as Good Shepherd Sister.
