: Enkindling our Hearts with Love, Dreams and Hope for Academic Excellence and
Compassionate Service
Anchored on the
theme above, St. Bridget College Alitagtag (SBCA) celebrated its 10th founding anniversary on December 15 – 17, 2016.
An inspirational
Message by Sr. Mary Bernadette Guzman, RGS, set the tone for the three-day
celebration of which she shared 10 reckoning of SBCA’s rhythm and direction as
Catholic and Innovative Educational institution.
Offering of ten (10) symbols followed which included:
Metal Plate, Photos of Groundbreaking, Buildings Construction, Gymnasium and
Convent, School Recognition, Partnership with the Ayala Foundation, ESC, Senior
High School building, New students, parents and lay leader, and SBCA as a satellite
community. Each was offered by an RGS sister and a lay mission partner.
Eucharistic
celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Carlo Magno C. Ilagan, parish priest. In
his homily, hesaid that having achieved this 10th year is truly a
blessing and a challenge most especially to RGS Sisterswho took courage to
bring Bridgetine education in Alitagtag. He expressed that SBCA is a gift to
treasure! After the Mass, the school administrators presented certificate of
appreciation to all RGS Sisters who have been part of SBCA for 10 years.
Almost close to
sixty (60) vehicles have joyfully participated in the motorcade, en route to
Alitagtag, Sta Teresita, Bauan, San Pascual – the municipalities where our
students come from. Every section made a banner/tarpaulin and brought candies
that add joy to the activity.
Creative and
vibrant grade level presentations highlighting the big breakthroughs each year kept
the crowd in awe! Truly, it was a number to make everyone proud of what SBCA
has become. This was made possible through the collaboration and active
involvement of the teachers, students and parents.
In the afternoon,
our emotions were intensified by the games and activities set and arranged by
the parents themselves. PAO mini concert concluded our first day celebration. It
was indeed a night of talents and giftedness!
Prayer service
started our second day of celebration followed by the Academic Quiz Show which
was participated by 6 public elementary schools in Alitagtag. Each had three
student-participants as representatives. Mind draining questions were asked and
of course at the end of the quiz show, three schools emerged winners.
School based
contests like Vocal Solo, Mini-ME, Modern Dance and Battle of the Bands have
showcased Bridgetines’ God given talents completed the second day of
celebration!
Friendly
basketball and volleyball games between and among parents and alumni made a
great scene in our third and last day of celebration. Awarding comes next which
all the winning pieces were recognized. Each received certificate of
recognition and medal. Supportive parents and alumni were given recognition. 10th year service award were conferred on SBCA four (4) employees namely Eleonor S.
