Retreats for Good Shepherd Sisters and friends

 

Retreats for sisters in initial formation and continuing formation are being held in

various cities in the Philippines. Sr. Patricia Perez RGS of the Continuing Formation, quoting the Constitutions on Formation, said: 

“The vitality of the congregation is largely determined by the quality of formation. We mutually share responsibility with the congregation for our formation Through the guidance of the congregation we are helped to cooperate freely with the grace of vocation”
 

30-Day Retreat for Sisters preparing for Final Vows
March 15-April 14
Good Shepherd Convent, Baguio City

Srs. Angelita Clemen, Leah Ann Espina, Loreen Granada and Diana Madulara are participating in the 30-day retreat in Baguio City preparation for their Final Profession of Vows on April 24 at 3:00 p.m.

Facilitator of the retreat is Sr. Lourdes Fabia RGS.

The four sisters also finished a one-month Joint Intensification Program with sisters from South Korea and South Africa. The sessions were held at the Good Shepherd Convent in Quezon City and were facilitated by Sr. Teresita Figueroa, Juniorate Directress of the Philippine Province, and resource speakers including Good Shepherd Sisters, Eudists and lay persons.

 

Reviewing our Life Story through Jacob’s Story: A Man who Lived on a Stolen Blessing
Maryridge, Good Shepherd Convent, Tagaytay City 
April 10-17, 2010

A total of 23 participants that included 17 Good Shepherd Sisters in Continuing Formation and six lay mission partners are in Maryridge, Tagaytay City for a retreat faciitated by Ms. Carmencita Rojas of the East Asian Pastoral Institute.

Using a simple approach of story-telling and engaging reflections the retreat highlights seven (7) key moments in the life of Jacob. The seven meaningful sections will speak to us about our own journey, “inside and outside” as themes and focus of each day. 


"Reconnecting with the Earth and Discovering Our Role in the Web of Life" Retreat

Villasis, Pangasinan
April 7-13, 2010 

Contemplative and Apostolic Good Shepherd Sisters were in Villasis, Pangasinan for a retreat facilitated by Sr. Anne Bellosillo and Sr. Rowena Pineda, both Medical Mission Sisters.

Juniors sisters and several formators were in attendance.

Retreat for Golden Jubilarians
Maryridge, Tagaytay City
April 14-22

Ten Good Shepherd Sisters who will celebrate their Golden Jubilee will have their retreat in Maryridge, Tagaytay City.

The Golden Jubilarians include: Sr. Zita Alcazar CGS, Sr. Stephen Betia, Sr. Vincent Borromeo, Sr. Carmela Cruz, Sr. Socorro Galvez CGS, Sr. Mary Assumpta Lim, Sr. Fe Mendoza, Sr. Soledad Perpinan, Sr. Mary Frances Therese Sunga and Sr. Aida Violago.

Facilitator of the retreat is Bishop Chito Tagle of the Diocese of Imus.

The Golden Jubilee celebrations will be held at the Good Shepherd Convent in Quezon City.
