Good Shephed Retreat House in Lipa City blessed on October 18

The Good Shepherd Retreat House in Lipa City was blessed on October 18.

Good Shepherd Sisters led by Sr M. Cecilia Torres, province leader, Sr.M. Florencia Tio, local leader of St. Bridget College community, and faculty and staff of SBC in Batangas attended the occasion.

The blessing was led by Fr. Ericson Tio, a Bridgetine, and liturgist of the Archdiocese of Lipa.

The retreat house, donated by the family of Sr. M. Socorro Galvez, was formerly used by Sr. Soledad Perpinan for the programs of Third World Movement Against Exploitation of Women (TW-MAE-W). When the property was returned to the the Philippine Province,  the ministry team of the Philippine Province of the Good Shepherd, through Sr. Ananita Borbon, spearheaded the renovation of the house to accommodate students, faculty, Good Shepherd Sisters and those who need retreats or days of recollection in the region.

St. Bridget College's High School department has already booked the retreat house for the 2013-2014 Saturday recollections of students.
