Regional Celebrations to mark the 2012 Centennial of Good Shepherd Sisters’ presence in the
According to Sr. Bernadette Guzman and Sr. Celeste Engutan of the Spirituality Committee, the journey of the Shepherd’s crook and staff will be part of the celebration. The committee hopes to ensure a meaningful celebration for the sisters, mission partners, benefactors and the people we serve in the regions and created regional representatives who will help implement the programs.

To kick off centennial celebrations in the different regions of the Philippine Province, the Spirituality Committee has prepared a ritual journey with the shepherd’s staff which will travel from one region to another from 2011 to 2012.

During the period, while the staff is in the region, the houses can be creative in devising activities to involve the people connected with the apostolic and contemplative sisters in celebrating the Centennial (e.g. alumnae/alumni, benefactors, relatives, friends, SME scholars et al.)
The July 31 celebration in Batangas will be held at the SBC Auditorium where a Mass will be presided by Most Rev. Ramon Arguelles, Archbishop of Lipa.
