Prayers for our Beloved Dead 2015

PSALM 130

(Prayers for our beloved dead: members of our families, congregation, benefactors, relatives and friends, those who need our prayers.)

Out of the depths I cry to you,
O God, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleading.

If you should mark our guilt
who would surviva?
But with you is found forgiveness:
for this we revere you.

My soul waits for you,
I count on your word
My soul is longing for you-
more than those who watch for daybreak.

Let those who keep watch count on daybreak,
and Israel on you, O God
Because with you there is mercy and fullness of recemption.
Israel indeed you will redeem from all its iniquity.

V. From the power of hell
R. Lord save their souls.
V. May they rest in peace.
R. Amen.
V. Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto you.

Let us pray:
May it please you, Lord, to set free the souls of your servants, so that they, now dead to our world may find life in you; and because on this earth they lived in our frail human body, forgive and totally wipe away by your love and mercy, all those sins which they committed, and this we ask through Christ, Our Lod, Amen.

V. Grant them, Lord, eternal rest.
R. And shine upon them with eternal light.
V. May they rest in peace.
V. Amen
