February 7 (Saturday), our
community was invited to celebrate the 58th anniversary of Foundation of Heart of Mary
Villa. Their theme was “ ISASAYAW ANG PAGPAPASALAMAT.” At 8:00 a,m. the traditional “karakol”
started from Heart of Mary Villa and their first stop was at the
Provincialate. We gathered at the front
door and there, the first group danced the “Subli.” There was a particular katutubo dance
prepared for each community. However, in
the next stop, which was the Good Shepherd Community and SBS community, for the
sake of our sisters in the Maria Droste Infirmary, all three dances were
danced: Subli, Carinosa and Igorot
dance. The last stop was at the
Euprasian Community where they also danced the 3 native dances.
In the afternoon, the residents of HMV put up
booths and sold finger foods that they cooked. “Malalim na kasiyahan at
malaking pasasalamat sa pagdiriwang sama-sama!” The HMV staff and women had a repeat
performance of their dances on February 11 as an opening number to the session
given by Sr. Marie Francoise Le Brizaut on Eudist Roots of our Good Shepherd
spirituality.
