A marker of the first house of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Manila will be unveiled on Saturday, May 24 at 10 a.m.
Ms. Sylvia Lichauco, president of the Sta. Ana Heritage Toursim Association (SAHTA) said the marker is the association's initiative to remind the people of the historical value of Sta. Ana.
Good Shepherd Sisters, and friends will attend the occasion.
The first house used by Good Shepherd Sisters in Manila in 1921 has been demolished and in its place is now a supermarket, Save More.
Ms. Lichauco said the association has requested Save More that an old tree and part of the property be preserved.
Ms. Sylvia's mother, a neighbor of the sisters has also invited the sisters at her residence, after the unveiling of the marker.
The Good Shepherd Sisters pursue their commitment to implement the of Women Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation (WJPIC) Thrust of the province/congregation.
