Good Shepherd Sisters, mission partners, and people served in the communities of Buhi, Legazpi, Naga and Virac are looking forward to the Bicol Regional Celebration scheduled March 19 in Buhi, Camarines Sur.
St. Bridget School -Buhi is the first community founded in the Bicol region in 1952. The other communities were founded in 1990 (Legazpi), 1993 (Naga) and 2005 (CGS-Virac).
The regional celebrations will include parade and street dancing, ritual of acceptance of the Centennial Shepherd's crook from the sisters from the Cavite Region. The occasion will also feature the "Sinarapan Dance" and the simultaneous sessions on Women, Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (WJPIC) that will begin at 1 p.m. The WJPIC sessions will be participated in by the students of St.Bridget School. A Eucharistic Celebration to be presided by Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi OP, DD of the Archdiocese of Caceres, will be held at 4 p.m. During the Mass, Bridgetine priests-- or those priests who finished at St. Bridget School and later pursued the priesthood, will concelebrate.
The CD and songbook, Magnificat & Benedictus, will be launched within the Mass. All the 15 Magnificat and seven Benedictus versions were composed by Sr. M. Aimee B. Olaguer RGS.
