Local Leaders' Meeting 2014

The
local leaders, both RGS and CGS 
throughout the Philippines arrived at different times.    Their accommodations were  well prepared at the Good Shepherd Community
(GSC).  Their meeting started July 8 at 7:30
p.m. at the Rosary Hall.  There was
excitement in the atmosphere, meeting one another and batch mates updating each
other.  When everybody settled down, the
orientation for the next three days was given by Sister Anya and Sister Ludy,
Province Councillors.  For the next three
days, July 9 to 11, the local leaders gathered in the Rosary Hall where they
prayed together, shared, discussed and planned for the next six year.

The
3-days meeting had the following objectives: 1)
To provide a venue for the Local Leaders to share the giftedness and
unique contribution of each sister in community, 2)To ensure that the different
priorities reflected in the 2014 Chapter Statement are integrated in our local
community involvements, 3)To review the roles and responsibilities of the Local
Leaders for better animation and coordination of the community in its efforts
to achieve its mission, 4)To update ourselves on various topics.

Topics shared and discussed were:

·      Sisters’ community involvements,
ministry involvement, Province/Regional/Congregational involvements, Parish,
Diocesan, Local, National, International involvements

·       

Presentation of Chapter Statement;  Vision/Mission; Province Priorities for the
next 6 years and contents of the Firewall

·       

Roles and responsibilities of the Local
Leader

·       

An input on Geriatrics / Gerontology

·       

An inpute on Archives

·       Mechanism for Echo

 The
Local Leaders were divided into small groups with the following names:Lagablab,
Apoy, Init, Sikat, Sinag, Liwanag.
