The Local Leaders’ Meeting was held May 28-29 in Maryridge, Tagaytay City. Six new local leaders were among the group: Sr. M. Loreen Granada, (SBS-Quezon City), Sr. M. Jane Pineda (Welcome House/Malate), Sr. M. Christina Sevilla (SBS-Buhi), Sr. Marie Goretti Bool (CGS- Tagaytay), Sr. M. Angelita Clemen (Kalilid) and Sr. Ma. Magdalena Saavedra (Reach-Out Davao).

The theme of the meeting was, “Animating Community of Friends,” as significant value in a friendship model of leadership. Essential life-giving qualities of friendship and stewardship in community living were acknowledged and discussed.
At present, there are 22 apostolic and 4 contemplative communities in the country.
