A Journey of Enrichment Retreat was held July 24-29 at Maryridge, Tagaytay City. Facilitated by Sr. M. Lourdes Fabia RGS and Sr. Celeste Engutan CGS, the retreat gathered Good Shepherd Sisters and lay mission partners.
The retreat is the second held in the Philippines on the Journey of Enrichment that aims to deepen the spirituality of both the Good Shepherd Sisters and the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity.
From July 16- August 15, 2010, Sr. Lourdes and Sr. Celeste joined delegates from the RGS and OLC in a summer program in Angers, France as part of the Journey of Enrichment. Since 2007, the Congregational Leadership Team of the RGS and the Central Team of the OLC have engaged the two congregations in a journey and a deepening of spirituality. The Process Planning Committee was also created to study and implement the Journey of Enrichment.
Sessions were also held in the Philippines on the Journey of Enrichment as part of the regional celebrations of the 2012 Centennial.
It was on September 8, 2011 that the sisters of the National Capital Region had the Journey of Enrichment Session.
Good Shepherd Sisters from other regions also invited Sr. Lourdes and Sr. Celeste to facilitate the sessions.
St. John Eudes who founded the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity in 1641 and Sr. Mary Euphrasia whose Generalate was established by Pope Gregory XVI in 1835, left a wealth of spirituality to the two congregations.
