Good Shepherd Sisters and lay mission partners joined the activities of International Women's Day today, March 8 at the Good Shepherd convent in Quezon City.
They are in solidarity with various women groups all over the world who mark this day to uplift the dignity of women. For more than 100 years, women's day has been celebrated also to highlight the need to respect the rights of women and to eliminate violence against women and children.
In Quezon City, the activities began with prayer service. The Self-Care Fair featured simultaneous activities like free massage, reading to children, photo booth, body tremor response and release session to counter stress, and others.
