GSIJP training facilitator and Philippine representatives to Capacity-Building and Training Workshop in KL meet February 2-4 in QC

Clare Nolan RGSSr. Clare Nolan RGS, training facilitator of the Good Shepherd International Justice and Peace Office (GSIJP) and Philippine representatives  to the Capacity Building and Training Workshop in Kuala Lumpur will meet February 2-4 at the Rosary Hall in Quezon City.

The Capacity Building and Training Workshop will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from February 11-17. It will be participated in by those involved in the fight against human trafficking , from the provinces of Singapore/Malaysia, Indonesia, East Asia (Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia)  and the Philippines.

The Philippine representatives are:  Sr. Maureen Catabian, Alice Andres, Arabella Balingao, Diane Cabasagan, Virgo Espineda, Antonietta Go, Bernadette Guzman and Cecilia Torres.

Sr. Clare Nolan of  the Province of New York,  worked as GS-NGO representative to the United Nations in New York from 1996 – 2007. The Good Shepherd congregation has been affiliated with the UN since 1996. The current GS-NGO representative  to the UN in New York is Sr. Winifred Doherty.  The congregation also has a GS- NGO representative in the UN Office in Geneva,  Sr. Hedwig Johl. GSIJP communications coordinator, Sr. Yolanda Sanchez is based in New York.
 
In 2009, Clare started her new mission as training facilitator of GSIJP.
