Good Shepherd Sisters begin cluster echoes <br> of Local Leaders’ Meeting

Good Shepherd Sisters in the National Capital Region (NCR)
started on June 12, the echo of the Local Leaders’ Meeting held in
Baguio recently.


Held at the Rosary Hall of Good Shepherd Community (GSC),
the echo was attended by sisters from Euphrasian Community, Heart of Mary
Villa, Tahanan, Welcome House/Malate, St. Bridget School- Quezon City, GSC, the
Provincialate and the Novitiate.  During the echo, the sisters also prayed for the country as we mark Philippine Independence Day.

The echo of the meeting, as agreed upon by the local
leaders, will be done in clusters

, or group of communities of Good Shepherd
Sisters in the Philippine Province.

On June 13, the Echo will be for the communities in
Batangas/Cavite  which include: St.
Bridget College-Batangas, Maryridge, Bahay Pastulan and Bukid Kabataan. The
venue is Maryridge,
Tagaytay City.

On June 22-23, the echo will be held in Baguio City for Northern Luzon communities composed of Baguio and Isabela.


Bicol Cluster composed of Naga Community,
St. Bridget School,-Buhi, Good
Shepherd Home in Legazpi and Contemplatives of the Good Shepherd in Virac will
have the echo on June 19 in Buhi, Camarines Sur.


Cebu Cluster composed of the apostolic and contemplative
communities will have the echo on July 5 in Banawa Hills,
Cebu City.


Mindanao Cluster, which includes the Good Shepherd
communities in Cagayan de Oro (CDO), Kalilid in Agusan, Iligan City, Davao
City, Pagadian, Bukidnon and the CGS in Butuan City, has scheduled the echo in
CDO on July 29-30.

During the echo, the topics presented during the Local
Leaders’ Meeting are shared to the sisters in the communities. The theme of the
May 24-27 Local Leaders’ Meeting was, “Weaving New Pathways in Leadership,”


The topics that are presented during the echo are St. Mary
Euphrasia and the Spirituality of Governance, reports of Ministry Team, SMEIDFI,
MARTA, Formation, and Centennial Committee.


The conversation with Sr. Susan Chia, link apostolic councilor
of the Congregational Leadership Team to the
Philippines, is also part of the echo. She
shared on the 2009 Congregational threads that will guide the Good Shepherd
Sisters in living out our mission during the next five years. It is already a
year since the 29th Congregational Chapter was held in
Angers, France.

During the echoes, the members of the communities will also receive copies of
the Integrated Constitutions of apostolic and contemplative sisters.
