Good Shepherd Sisters planted trees to celebrate Earth Day 2014 on April 22, 2014.
Communities at the 1043 Aurora Boulevard compound in Quezon City offered during the 6:30 a.m. Mass seedlings that were planted in the different places in the convent. Already planted with fruit-bearing trees and vegetables, the Good Shepherd Compound has enough space for more trees that are good for the environment.
Good Shepherd Sisters, girls in the residences and friends from St. Bridget School- Quezon City, Good Shepherd Community, Euphrasian Community and Provincialate community planted guavas, avocado, rambutan, star appled and guayabano seedlings. The trees will add to the rich diversity of trees. flowers and plants at the convent.
The organizers of the international celebrations said, "Like Earth Days of the past, Earth Day 2014 will focus on the unique environmental challenges of our time.
