Sr. Mirianti Han, Indonesian contemplative Good Shepherd Sister who is a member of the Philippine Province, celebrated with the Good Shepherd Sisters her Golden Jubilee of profession of vows last June 4 in Jakarta.

Celebrant during the Thanksgiving Mass was Archbishop Ignatius Suharyo of Jakarta. The Sisters who attended the celebration were from the communities of Jakarta, Bogor and Jogyakarta.
Born on February 2, 1934 in Blitar, Indonesia, Sr. Mirianti Han felt called to religious life and entered the Good Shepherd province of Singapore/Malaysia/Indonesia in 1963. She made her first profession of vows in Singapore on December 24, 1965 and her final profession in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 18, 1971.
She taught religion and was counsellor in high school in Bogor, and Yogyakarta, served as community coordinator in Jakarata, Bogor, in charge of the residential home in Jakarta from 1966-1969, the girls in the boarding Bogor from 1971-1975, the single mothers in Yogkarta and Bantul from 1984-1988, 19888-1991 and 1994-1997.

Sr. Mirianti said she also prayed that a contemplative community be established in Indonesia. In 1997 she came to the Philippines to observe the life of a contemplative where she felt God has called her to follow. Her formation to be a contemplative began and she transferred as a contemplative sister of the Philippine Province in 2000.
She has been assigned in the three contemplative communities –Tagaytay, Cebu and Virac. This apostolic year, she will be serving the Buhing Yuta Monastery in Butuan City.

Before her golden jubilee celebration of her entrance to the Good Shepherd convent, Sr. Mirianti made a retreat facilitated by Fr. Mardikartono from May 21-28 at the St. Clare Contemplatives in Yogyakarta.
On June 10, a Thanksgiving Mass was also celebrated by Fr. Vitalis CP in the presence of his family led by her brother Franc. Sr. Mirianti is grateful for the Good Shepherd vocation.
This July 22, Sr. Felicidad Almeria and Sr.Teresita Numbalin will celebrate in Cebu City their golden jubilee as contemplatives.
