Linang Sining sa Paghilom and other Activities

These are some of the activities held in the Philippine Province.

 

SMEIDFI Training

A SMEIDFI training, "Linang Sining sa Paghilom", for sisters and mission partners involved in the residential and center-based programs of the province is held April 26 and 27 at the Rosary Hall, Good Shepherd Convent.  Facilitator is Grace Brillantes Evangelista, PhD.  Dr. Grace, a clinical psychologist graduated from UP Manila (BA Behavioral Studies) and UP Diliman (PhD Clinical Psychology).

Participants join the group dynamics, The policeman and the thief.

Empowering Filipino Artisans out of Poverty
Organized by the Philippine Province 

Ministry Office in coordination with the Mission Development Office (MDO). Goal is to improve the living conditions of Filipino artisans engaged in Good Shepherd Income Gernating projects. Participants include Alay Kapwa, Welcome House-Cebu, Center for Overseas Workers- Davao, Pinatubo . Held at Heart of Mary Villa on Feb 11-15. Two other sessions will be held in May and August 2013.

Master in Social Work

Sr. Ana Maria de Guzman finished her Master of Science in Social Work at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.
Recognition Day to all graduates of the College of Social Work and Community Development was held on April 28, in the morning at the CSWCD building.

Graduates joined the university graduation ceremonies at 4 p.m. that same day.

Srs. Mary James Wilson, M. Amelia David, Mari Josephine Panem, Regina Kuizon and several members of Sr. Ana's  family were with Sr. Ana at the UP CSWCD celebration.
